How Trinity helps others
Trinity sponsors numerous programs to help our neighbors through its Outreach Committee.
LOCAL PROGRAMS are focused on Youth Development, Senior Quality of Life and the Rappahannock Benevolent Fund. The latter provides both emergency assistance and counseling to economically insecure residents of Rappahannock County. The Benevolent Fund began with an anonymous gift for Rappahannock citizens with emergency needs such as food, medicine, heating, emergency repairs. Funds are raised through an annual Celebrity Waiters' Dinner and direct donations to match a private foundation grant. Trinity assumes the administrative costs for this fund providing office space.
Youth Programs include Girl Scout Daisy Troop and a Junior/Cadette Troop, and extra curricular activities at Rappahannock Elementary School.
Senior Programs include Birthday Gifts for the Senior Center and programs at the Senior Center.
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS support ministries in Haiti and South Africa.
In Haiti, Trinity leads a coalition of Virginia churches to sponsor the St. Marc Trade School in Trouin, Haiti, and also supports the Trouin Village Farm to further economic development and social justice.

The St. Marc Trade School provides classes in Cooking, Sewing, Paper Arts, Computers, Motorcycle Maintenance, Electricity, and Music to about 70 students.
In South Africa, Trinity supports the King Children’s Home to provide care and schooling for abandoned babies in South Africa.
Other
We are grateful that many members of our congregation are active in meeting the needs of Rappahannock residents through local organizations. This includes the local Food Pantry, School Backpack program, Starfish Mentoring, Fire and Rescue volunteering, Senior Services, Auxiliary Thrift Shop of the Washington Fire Dept., Girl Scouts, RappCats Shelter, and many other community ministries.
Community Halloween Party held in our parish hall and open to the entire county.
Christmas Angel Tree Program provides Christmas gifts for children and seniors through the Department of Social Services.
CARE Community Action for the Relief of the Elderly.
Field Trips, Fees and Supplies for needy public school students.
The King’s Family Children’s Home in Sourth Africa cares for abandoned babies.
Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
The ECW gives financial support to the following:
Local charities: CCLC (Sursum Corda, a day care center), Food Pantry, Angel Tree Program (Christmas gifts to needy Children and seniors)
In Parish: The Altar Guild, the kneelers and the Garden Guild
Farther afield: support for Kings Childrens Home in South Africa, and a teacher's salary at St. Marc’s Trade School in Haiti.
